Ultrasonic water meter principle
A fully electronic water meter that adopts the principle of ultrasonic time difference. It is an electronic water meter that can further calculate the flow rate of water by detecting the time difference caused by the change of speed when the ultrasonic sound beam propagates in water upstream and downstream, and analyze and process the flow rate of water.
The structure of the ultrasonic water meter is mainly composed of transducers, measuring tubes, calculators and other parts.
Electromagnetic water meter principle
According to the principle of Faraday's electromagnetic induction, the electromotive force induced by the conductive fluid through an external magnetic field is an electronic water meter that measures the flow of the conductive fluid.
The structure of the electromagnetic water meter is mainly composed of a magnetic circuit system, a measuring conduit, an electrode, a casing, a lining, and a converter.
01. Turndown ratio
Ultrasonic water meter: the range ratio can reach R800 or more, the accuracy can reach grade 1, the initial flow rate is low, the effective measurement range is large, and it can avoid dripping and leaking; the ability to track flow changes is weak.
Electromagnetic water meter: the range ratio can reach R800 or more, and the accuracy can reach grade 1; the response to flow changes is slow, and the measurement performance of medium and high flow rates is stable. The turndown ratio does not cover the small flow area.
02. Abrasiveness
Ultrasonic water meter: no mechanical moving parts, no wear and tear, accuracy has little to do with usage time.

09. Environmental requirements
Ultrasonic water meter: The ultrasonic water meter calculates the flow rate by the time difference between the sending and receiving of the transducer. Once the transducer has air bubbles, it will affect the normal measurement.
Electromagnetic water meter: The amplitude of the electrode signal generated by the sensor in the electromagnetic water meter converter is weak, the signal is greatly affected by the change of the magnetic field, and the anti-electromagnetic interference performance is poor.
