How to choose a smart water meter
In the application of large-flow water metering products, we selected pipe-type ultrasonic water meters and insertion-type electromagnetic flowmeters for comparison.
The pipe-type ultrasonic water meter is a new type of water meter based on the time difference principle of ultrasonic waves propagating downstream and upstream in water for flow measurement and display. The meter can be equipped with a wired or wireless data communication interface to communicate with the collector, concentrator or network server to form a remote meter reading management system. The management department can read the data in the meter as needed, which is convenient for the statistics and management of the user's water consumption.
Ultrasonic water meter product advantages:

There is no blocking device inside the pipe-type ultrasonic water meter, which will not cause pressure loss. The low initial flow rate and wide range ratio can eliminate a large number of negative problems of traditional water meters, and are widely used in urban water supply, farmland and garden irrigation, and industrial water metering.
Plug-in electromagnetic flowmeter is a new type of flowmeter for flow measurement and display based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. It is widely used in the field of large-diameter flow measurement.
Advantages of plug-in electromagnetic flowmeter:
1. The measurement accuracy is not affected by changes in liquid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and conductivity;
2. The high-reliability external plug-in installation method, the installation and maintenance of the sensor does not need to dismantle the measuring tube, so it is more suitable for field use where the water cannot be cut off, and it can be installed on-site on the old pipe;
3. The structure is simple, the measuring tube of the electromagnetic flowmeter does not need to be lined, and the reliability is high;
4. Integrated grounding electrode to achieve good grounding of the instrument;
5. The sensor is solid-state packaged, resistant to vibration, anti-penetration, and long in life, so that the instrument has good measurement accuracy and stability;
6. The nominal diameter range is wide, suitable for pipes in the range of DN300-DN3000;
